Gajeni is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, doing a Cell and Molecular biology specialist program. Her project focuses on determining the specificity of the S100B promoter (Ple266) to astrocytes over neurons. Particularly, she is comparing the specificity of the S100B promoter to the GFAP promoter to optimize astrocyte to neuron reprogramming post-stroke.
