Rehnuma is a PhD student studying the mechanism behind stem cell transplantation-mediated improvements in cognitive motor deficits and neuronal plasticity in the stroke-injured brain. This study will determine which differentiated cell types facilitate neuronal plasticity and whether they are necessary and/or sufficient for neural repair and functional recovery after stroke.
